The Privacy and Legal Notice explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data, including information submitted via forms, cookies and tracking technologies, and our approach to political opinions and democratic engagement.
Please read the Privacy and Legal Notice carefully before using the Site. By using the Site, you consent to the data processing practices described there (to the extent consent is the relevant legal basis).
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, PECR, and applicable electoral and data protection laws. For data protection enquiries, please use the contact details in the Privacy and Legal Notice or Section 14 below.
7. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES The Site uses cookies and similar technologies as described in our Privacy and Legal Notice. By using the Site, you consent to the placement and use of cookies in accordance with the choices you make via our cookie consent banner or preference centre (where applicable) and these Terms.
For full details, including how to manage your preferences, please refer to the Cookies section of our Privacy and Legal Notice.
8. LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND EMBEDDED CONTENT The Site may contain links to third-party websites, social media platforms, or resources, or embed content (such as videos, maps, or feeds) from third parties. These links and embeds are provided for convenience and information only.

We encourage you to review the terms and privacy notices of any third-party sites you visit.
9. DISCLAIMERS AND NO WARRANTIES
9.1 “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” The Site and all content, features, and Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
- That the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
- That any defects will be corrected.
- The accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any content, policy information, or campaign materials.
9.2 HIGH-CAPACITY WEBSITE REALITIES While we design and maintain the Site to handle high volumes of traffic and engagement typical of a major mayoral campaign (using appropriate technical infrastructure, content delivery networks, caching, and security measures), we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific uptime levels, or performance during peak periods, unexpected surges, or malicious attacks. Temporary downtime, slower loading, or feature limitations may occur. You accept that political campaign websites operate in dynamic, high-demand environments.
9.3 POLITICAL NATURE OF CONTENT All content on the Site reflects the personal views, policy positions, and campaign priorities of Jeffrey Powell as an independent candidate. It does not constitute official policy of the Greater London Authority, any government body, or any political party. Policy positions may evolve during the campaign in response to new information, public feedback, or changing circumstances. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, financial, tax, or professional advice. You should seek independent professional advice where appropriate.
9.4 USER-GENERATED CONTENT We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for any User Content submitted by other users. You access and rely on User Content at your own risk.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (including the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and Consumer Rights Act 2015 where they apply), Jeffrey Powell, his campaign team, volunteers, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any content or Services.
- Any reliance placed on any content or User Content.
- Any unauthorised access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.
- Any statements or conduct of any third party on or via the Site.
- Any matter beyond our reasonable control (including technical failures, acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemic, government action, or infrastructure issues).
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall not exceed £100 (one hundred pounds sterling), except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
You acknowledge that the limitations in this section are reasonable and reflect the free-of-charge nature of the Site and the practical realities of operating a high-visibility political campaign website.
11. INDEMNIFICATION You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Jeffrey Powell, his campaign team, volunteers, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your use of the Site or any content.
- Your User Content or submissions.
- Your breach of these Terms or the Privacy and Legal Notice.
- Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you will cooperate fully with us.
12. TERMINATION AND SUSPENSION We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice or liability, terminate, suspend, or restrict your access to all or any part of the Site (including by technical blocking measures) if:
- You breach these Terms or the Privacy and Legal Notice.
- We reasonably believe your conduct poses a risk to the Site, other users, the campaign, or the public.
- Required by law, regulation, or court order.
- We decide to discontinue or modify the Site (in whole or in part).
Upon termination, your right to use the Site ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and general provisions) shall survive termination.
13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS We may update or amend these Terms at any time to reflect changes in law, our practices, campaign requirements, technology, or the Services offered. Material changes will be notified by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by prominent notice on the Site (such as a banner or revised cookie consent flow).
Your continued use of the Site after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically. Previous versions are available on request.
14. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or your use of the Site (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Subject to any mandatory consumer or data protection rights that cannot be waived, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Site.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection rules, you may have additional rights that these Terms do not override.
15. GENERAL PROVISIONS
15.1 ENTIRE AGREEMENT These Terms, together with the Privacy and Legal Notice and any other legal notices or policies posted on the Site, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Site and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations (whether oral or written).

15.3 WAIVER No failure or delay by us in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall constitute a waiver. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by us to be effective.
15.4 ASSIGNMENT You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations without restriction.
15.5 THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS These Terms do not create any rights enforceable by any person who is not a party to them, except as expressly provided (e.g., indemnified parties).
15.6 CONTACT INFORMATION For questions about these Terms, to report a suspected breach or abuse, or for general enquiries about the Site:
