CULTURE RELIGION AND IDENTITY single
London’s identity is shaped by its history, its diversity and the values that unite its people. This manifesto celebrates our cultural heritage, protects freedom of belief and promotes mutual respect between communities. We will honour our traditions, preserve our shared identity and create spaces where every Londoner can connect, reflect and belong.
Our commitments:
The Union Jack to fly on The Mall and all public monuments/landmarks (where appropriate).
Mayor investiture to include religious service at St. Paul’s Cathedral pledging allegiance to Church of England.
Full burka banned for security reasons; hijabs permitted.
Pride month refocused on national & international human rights issues.
Return of gay nightlife to Soho and Vauxhall.
All prayer carried out privately or in houses of worship (special permits for festivals like Ramadan & Hanukkah).
Return of the Easter Parade in London.
London Zoo phased into scientific research & and endangered species protection centre (all animals to remain in situ until passing).
Construct a centre for spiritual well-being, meditation, guidance and teaching.
